Comments:

Amy Wadge is an intriguing singer. She has a lightness of touch and a vocal dexterity that's like Sheryl Crow; her music's less mainstream though. It's modern slightly country-tinged pop with memorable hooks. Her voice is what really makes her special, it's got a slightly raspy edge, but she comes across well on the slow songs too.
"Nothing" stands out, a slow languorous song of taking it easy. The soulful "Open" is sort of reminiscent of Cerys Matthews album. "Valley Boy" is a rockier track, and it works well. On the whole, a delightful fuss-free album. (stjarnell@yahoo.com)
