General comments

Primarily two ex Thompson Twins renaming themselves for the '90s. (For those who remember the 1980s lineup, the two in question are Tom Bailey and Alannah Currie, who have apparently set up shop in New Zealand.) (nkg@vcn.bc.ca)

The Stone

Release info:

1993

Comments:

The Stone had one really great song on it ("Beautiful"), one tolerable one (can't remember its title), and a whole lot of wasted space. (lissener@wwa.com)

Ether

Comments:

It's pleasant enough to listen to, though not immensely challenging. Starts out with some nifty non-Western instrumentation, but then settles down into a low-key non-threatening somewhat ambient (tons of digital reverb anyway) pop mode. The sort of music I'll happily do dishes to, but I probably wouldn't sit down and actually *listen* intently to it. (nkg@vcn.bc.ca)
