Because the Guide is growing all the time, sometimes it can be hard to know what to try next.

One way to find artists you're interested in is to find a commentator with similar tastes to yours, and see what she or he has recommended.

In this section, we'll try to give an overview of what's recommended by the Ecto community at large. We'll be asking for input on "best of" lists for various categories, summarising the results, and posting them here. This will give you an idea of the artists and albums recommended by the most Ectophiles.

In addition, every year, many Ectophiles post their "best of the year" lists. We're also compiling and summarising these lists of albums that were mentioned in two or more Ectophiles' "best of" lists for a given year.
