The Black Family
Country of origin:
Type of music generally:
The Black Family get together periodically to record family albums
The Black Family consisted of Mary Black, Frances Black and their three brothers. They have a gorgeous album called Time for Touching Home which tells good stories and has great 4- and 5-part harmonies. They are well worth seeking out. (email@example.com)
Recommended first album:
1990—Dara; 1995—Celtic Corner—10020
Highly recommended for folk and trad fans
Mary Black—vocals, harmony vocals
A Time for Touching Home is *superb* with rich vocal arrangements and 5-part harmony, and some zippy Irish stuff. (firstname.lastname@example.org)
The three Black brother also perform and record as a trio, See The Black Brothers and Black Family site for more information.
