See album comments below Recommended first album:Songs for Clem is their sole recording as a duo Recordings:Songs for Clem (1999) Songs for ClemRelease info:1999—Cold Snap Music—CD855-21 Availability:See Sarah Harmer's site Ecto priority:Highly recommended for fans of Sarah Harmer or stripped-down versions of folk/country/pop standards Group members:Sarah Harmer Guest artists:Spencer Evans—clarinet, ragtime piano, vocals (6) Comments:Originally intended as a 1998 Christmas gift for her father, Clem Harmer, this is Sarah and Jason's personal, home-recorded renditions of pop and country standards. An earthy, down-home recording is earthy, down-home songs, like "Blue Moon of Kentucky", "Tennessee Waltz" "Stormy Weather," "Your Cheatin' Heart" "Summertime", "Sentimental Journey". It says "recorded on the back porch" and it definitely has a home-grown feel to it. Fun, and I love Sarah Harmer's voice, even when she goes country. (Neile) |
