Picking Out BoxesRelease info:2008—self-released Availability:See Lindsay Katt's site Ecto priority:Recommended Group members:Lindsay Katt—vocals, piano, keyboards Guest artists:Ian Hendrickson—drums, percussion Produced by:Mark Turrigiano and Lindsay Katt; Lindsay Katt (6) Comments:Lindsay Katt's debut is very well put together, there are no weak songs and she writes thoughtful lyrics. "My happy" is a neat opener, with a complex and moving lyric and a great melody. "Is it you" has a nice hushed mood and a guarded vocal. The theme of emptiness is well presented. "Wretched Unbeliever" questions faith in a true and honest way. "Pretty in a paper bag" has some lovely piano playing and a stirring chorus. It's a very nice debut all told.
