Wow, hard call. The obscure Margot O'Breslin comes to mind
Lady Lamb the Beekeeper's music is urgent—reviewers talk about gits and gristle and her unusual lyrics. Her songs tend to the epic (and occasionally bombastic—I'm not saying this is necessarily a bad thing) with shifts and changes that match the lyrics. Tough, hurt, strong, and strange.(Neile)
Recommended first album:
ripely pine is the only one we've heard so far.
2013—Ba Da Bing—Bing 080
Aly Spaltro—vocals, guitar, bass, autoharp, banjo, percussion, omnichord, odds & ends
Walker Adams—drums (2)
Hot damn, this is good stuff. One of the best albums of the year. (firstname.lastname@example.org)
