Sweet RevengeRelease info:2003—self-released—MR-0324 Availability:See website for availability Ecto priority:Recommended Group members:Melissa Rapp Guest artists:Hunt Allcott, Jim Batcho, Emilio Lacayo—drums Produced by:Eric Miller and Melissa Rapp Comments:Melissa Rapp writes strong, lively songs and sings them in a loose, relaxed way. Her debut is a solid, likeable record. "Waimaolo Night" is a sweet, reflective song. "Fighter" is funky and tough. Rapp seems to be at home with that style too. "The One You Remembered" has a great groove. The humorous lyric prevents "Don't Ask me to be yours" from becoming bitter. The piano ballad "Fragile" is another standout track. Thanks to Anna Maria Stjärnell for work on this entry.
