Comments:

SharashkA's songs are lengthy and have space to become epic yet punchy things. Jayne Harman's vocals are plaintive and utterly lovely. The mix of ethereal elements and crunchiness evokes kindred spirits Levator and Madder Rose. "Getting Down" brings a lump to the throat with its sad tale of an unfortunate woman. "A better plan" is an antiwar song with a ravishing melody. "Aurora" is a dreamy yet motoric meander that works very well. The hidden track is a subdued cover of Throwing Muses' "Furious" and it's a fitting end to a great album. (stjarnell@yahoo.com)
