Comments:

Julia Vorontsova has a powerful voice and makes soft music that carries a sting in its tail. The opening "St Pete" is dulcet and dark and its emotional charge is strong. Most of these songs have a soft sound, and a deep meaning that resonates even though they are sung in Russian. It's a beautiful and well-played record and she is an artist well worth seeking out.
