Comments:

Push3's debut album is an intriguing, complex recording with many different influences that come together nicely. There's something of Jane Siberry in their approach, though it's mostly their own. "Keystone effect" is breezy and lets singer Kathryn Sutherland deliver a strong lead vocal. "Blue Chair" is dreamy and recalls McKinley's sophisticated pop a little. The album is an intimate and rewarding listen. (stjarnell@yahoo.com)

Group members:

Kathryn Sutherland, Melanie Sereda

Comments:

These singles see Push3 continue in the vein of their previous album. The jazzy "Unhinged" sees Sutherland at her mellifluous best. "Threads" is the best of the singles, a meditation on the passage of time. It promises much for the upcoming album. (stjarnell@yahoo.com)

Kathryn Sutherland—guitar

Jason Overy—percussion

Comments:

Here are two more delightful songs by Push 3. "Room 802"Ó is dreamy and unhurried, SutherlandŐs lovely vocals at their absolute best. "Running" is more up-tempo and has an equally lovely vocal. It's a little like early Rasputina. The next album should be stupendous. (stjarnell@yahoo.com)
