Comments:

One of my top albums of 2009. A surprise. On the first two listens, I absolutely hated the coldness of this, but very slowly it crept in, its icy elegance working its way under my skin. Not easy listening, but gripping. There's something icily beautiful and surreal about it. This one's definitely in my top ten. (adamk@zoom.co.uk)

I had no idea this album existed, and am ashamed of myself, it's really amazing. It's the woman from the Knife doing a more downtempo solo project. I've seen the album compared to Homogenic, my favorite Björk album, which is a totally fair and well-earned comparison. (timjy@sbcglobal.net)

I was hooked on Karin Dreijer Andersson's voice when I first heard it in Rvyksopp's amazing "What Else Is There?" but I didn't have a lot of luck getting into her first group (The Knife.) Then she starts a solo project (Fever Ray) and I am amazed. I don't know how to describe the songs to do them justice. Just watch. And listen. There are quite a few videos and they are all amazing. One of my top ten of 2009. (jonwesleyhuff@gmail.com)

Another album I greatly enjoyed this year. (lasherboy@gmail.com)
