General comments:

I wanted to share my new "find" with everyone: Madredeus. A beautiful band from Portugal, one people would like if they like the "world" music of Loreena McKennitt. It's not Celtic, but it is wonderful, and the lead singer has a tremendous voice. (Matt.Bittner)

Recommended first album:

Antologia is a good place to start and Electronico is a fascinating take on their music. (Neile)

A stunningly beautiful compilation. The acoustic instruments and Teresa Saigueiro's beautiful, angelic vocals are a lovely, powerful, yet peaceful combination. The songs have a traditional/world music feel, but are mostly written by the guitarist. (Neile)

The remixes maintain the spirit of Madredeus's work (especially the purity of Teresa Saigueiro) but add that extra electronic edge. A fascinating collection and collaboration. Still mostly peaceful but often danceable. (Neile)
