Comments:

Alphafemes' debut is bubbly, infectious but hardly too mainstream pop. The lead singer's voice is deep and mature and the songs are better than average. The girls' determination shines through on every song. "Daddy was a rock star" is one of the strongest songs, with an immediate chorus. "The Broken man" avoids clichél though it's about an often-used subject. Alphafemes really are that good and they should have a bright future ahead. (stjarnell@yahoo.com)
