Comments:

This is a strange record and it's hard to pinpoint what it's really like. Teper mixes her own songs with traditional Hebrew hymns with equal conviction.
Her singing is soft but still forceful and the band creates a unique sound. "Gonna" sounds very loungey, but the vocal sets it apart. Teper recalls Mary Margaret O'Hara in her jazz mode. The title track sees her morphing into a Tom Waits style and it works well.
     Ronley Teper's a true original. (stjarnell@yahoo.com)
