Comments:

Interesting project. I'm not entirely convinced that this duo works but I'll take any Aimee Mann album. Rating: 55/100. Best tracks: "Hummingbird," "No Sir (acoustic version)," "Milwaukee (acoustic version)," "The Gambler." (raschee@gmail.com)

Generally more rock than Aimee Mann's solo work, but there are also songs that are more indie pop and very much in the vein of Aimee Mann's solo work. This tension makes the album (at times) seem a bit uneven, like they're unsure how rock they want to be or like the two singers aren't blending into something truly new. Other times I just enjoy the album all the way through and don't have these thoughts. Best tracks: "Milwaukee," "Volunteers of America," "Hummingbird." (JoAnn Whetsell)
