Two Loons for Tea

Covers/own material:

Own; occasional covers

General comments:

Alternative pop/rock with some beats and synths in the background. More pop than electronica, though with an electronic base. Alison Lewis has a high-ish, raspy voice, and the songs are interestingly constructed. (Neile)

Recommended first album:

Highly recommended

Adam Walker, Alison Lewis, Mikey Brown

Comments:

I find this album stuck in my head from the very first track, "Piper Cried" which drives its hooks deeply into my head. So many of the songs here do the same thing—just get stuck in my mind so I want to play them over and over. It's a really strong collection and highly recommended. (Neile)

Comments:

I can't pin down exactly why, but I much prefer their first album to this. When I listen to this one, I like it just fine, but the first album got entirely stuck in my player and I kept hitting the repeat button. There's nothing wrong with this one but it just doesn't have that kind of magic for me. (Neile)

Comments:

This is catchy and interesting, and nearly as compelling as if you want me to i could write it down. It makes me very interested to hear their next full-length offering. (Neile)

Thrilling ectronica with cool vocals. The songs on Monster have plenty of hooks and even the remixes at the end have their point. (stjarnell@yahoo.com)
