General comments:

Sorta like Jane Siberry crossed with Lisa Germano, with occasional hints of all kinds of other people (most noticably Kate Bush and Tori Amos). (neal)

I have all three of her discs...I really love The Musician (her latest)—I get one of her lyrics constantly stuck in my head incessantly :) (from "mad magdeline", "there's more music than what you hear on the f***ing radio, you ignorant bastard"—obvious attack on the music industry). Her other full length Cruel is very good too but hasn't really gripped me as much. She has a stunning voice and incredible songs. She would sit very nicely in between a Veda Hille album on one side and Tamara Williamson on the other. (gordoja@optonline.net)

She's got a strong yet breathy voice, and I really like her piano playing and music. Her voice is unusual in its distinctiveness—sort of like Rickie Lee Jones—but not at all sounding like Ricke Lee (if that makes any sense at all). Just uniquely and refreshingly her own. I think she fits the "Ecto" definition very well and am surprised she hasn't been brought up more (great piano, ethereal vocals, fiercely independent, unique song structures, interesting accompaniment, etc.) (jjhanson@att.net)

Comments:

We listened to the album and both really enjoy it. I was quite taken with it—the weird in-between song bits are kind of strange but interesting—I don't know how well they'll hold up to repeated listenings—but the songs are very cool. She also seems to be a pretty fiercely independent musician. (jjhanson@att.net)
