She has a splendid line in widescreen cinematic songs that fit well together. Opener "Skye" is sinuous and utterly entrancing. "Blossom" is sensitive and well-played gem of a song that recalls a poppier Björk. "That way" is faintly like later Bel Canto, poppy and exotic in an ethereal kind of a way. "Angels all around" is cute and bouncy. Hope's made a persuasive debut album. (stjarnell@yahoo.com) Thanks to stjarnell@yahoo.com for work on this entry.
