Master CylinderRelease info:1992 or 1993—Tim Kerr Records—TK92CD024 Availability:Stores that carry indie material in the Northwest U.S.A. Ecto priority:Recommended for those who love experimental alternative rock. (Neile) Group members:Fred Chalenor—bass guitar, banjo Produced by:Alessandro Monti, Caveman Shoestore, and Drew Canulette Comments:We've really been enjoying this disc. A couple of great song titles like "Secret Doorway in Nevada Leading to Monster Truck at the Bottom of the Ocean Where Elvis Lives". Obviously they have a sense of humour and the music pushes the conventions of alternative music just a little. (Neile) FluxRelease info:1994——TK93CD056 Availability:Easily found in Pacific Northwest of the U.S., may be harder to find elsewhere. Ecto priority:High for lovers of experimental, alternative rock Group members:Fred Chalenor—bass guitar, banjo Guest artists:Amy DeVargas—bass, cello, and vocals Produced by:Jimi Zhivago Comments:Wonderful, unusual, musically fascinating songs. Highly recommended. Toward the end they get into some harsh non-song stuff that I can live without. Still, I really, really like the main songs on this disc. (Neile) |
