Comparisons:

Mandalay

Covers/own material:

General comments:

Kohann are from Breton, and rare in that they sing in Breton dialect. Their sound is mostly relatively soft trip hop. Michele Gaurin has a sweet, compelling voice that enlivens the band's electronic sound. The band they are most like, to my ears, is Mandalay (though perhaps not as dreamy). They bear sonic similarities to other trip hop bands, but their sound is their own. Low tempo- but dark and insistent, occasionally hypotic, occasionally rocking. (Neile)

Comments:

My favourite of the two albums I've heard, Mil Bed has an urgency that draws me in, especially the first track, "Awenn", and the title track, despite most of the album being on the lighter and more hypnotic side of electronic pop. (Neile)
