Ecto priority:

Recommended for fans of Meg Baird and/or stripped-down falk

Group members:

Meg Baird, Laura Baird

Comments:

This album is half songs by Laura Baird, and half covers of traditional songs, but has a very consistent feel. It's a home recording by their father over two days in January 2003. Laura Baird's compositions hold up to the traditional material (actually, I was quite impressed), and the vocals are low-key but gorgeous. If you like stripped-down folk at all, you are likely to love this. (Neile)
