Dark Sweet HeartRelease info:2000 Availability:See Leah Coloff's site Ecto priority:Recommended for fans of the dramatic and odd Group members:Leah Coloff—cello, vocals Guest artists:Ben Shapiro—guitar Produced by:Adam Lasus, Leah Coloff Comments:This is a singular album and reminds me a little of a mix of Bonfire Madigan and Rebecca Moore. It's hard to describe. While it's not exactly un-melodic, the strong structures are on the verge of experimental. Dark and dramatic, her vocals suit the mood, playing off the cello. Very interesting, and ectophiles will find much to enjoy here. (sophiagurley@hotmail.com) Further info:Leah Coloff also has done a lot of session work, including with Kristi Martel |
