General comments:

This is one of Kristeen Young's early bands, and her first recording on cd, and it's clear that even this early on her talent is a force to be reckoned with as she dominates the band's sound in a wonderful way. The sound hints strong at the power and drive her future music will have. (Neile)

Comments about live performance:

I originally heard Nov. 9th open up for a free Disappear Fear concert here years and years ago. I was suitably impressed with the music and Kristeen's voice, to buy the CD. The CD though did not showcase Kristeen Young's range or power. (iflin@speakeasy.net)

Comments:

from what i remember of the Nov. 9th album (i haven't listened to it in a while) the songs are pretty much power pop songs, in the same vein as say Belly. The CD though did not showcase Kristeen Young's range or power. (iflin@speakeasy.net)

I would agree with this, though I think this is a little more odd than Belly ever was. And though the album isn't as good as any of Kristeen Young's later recordings (she's been getter clearly better, more powerful and more interesting as time goes on) it still has a spark that I find makes it well worth tracking down, especially for fans of Kristeen Young's later work. (Neile)
