My Brilliant Beast
Country of origin:
Type of music generally:
Band members seem to have moved on to other projects
A more electronic Bel Canto, a dancier, earthier, more melody-based Cocteau Twins? Hex or An April March with a heavier beat and more hooks? Laika? (Neile)
Own, occasional covers
Is this dance music? Not quite. Cocteau-ish? A little. Beautiful and beastly and ear candy, and a very promising start. They have a new disc in the works and it the few things they've released so far are any indication it will be well worth tracking down. More! I want more! (Neile)

Highly recommended for ethereal pop fans
Beautiful, beat-heavy music with great vocals, melodic hooks, and crafted sounds. Don't miss. (Neile)

Hard to find
You know how remixes bore me, right? Well, I find myself listening to this single, which has 3 remixes of the title track (plus two other songs) again and again. What's wrong with me? Well, it's not what's wrong with me but what's right with this band—damn catchy music which is great boppy anytime music, whether you want to listen closely and catch all the nuances or if you want something lively in the background. (Neile)
The song "If You Tolerate This" by David Usher with My Brilliant Beast is available on the War Child Canada benefit album.
