Comments:

Stimulator's new effort is heavier than their previous ones, but it works fine. Susan Hyatt's strong vocals remain the bands' most important asset. Here she pens some strong songs and they do a fun cover. The title song is a case in point, Hyatt providing another great vocal to a softer backing. It's an epic ballad to rival the best of Garbage. "Me and my Rhythmbox" is like a fun, modern version of "She Bop" and it packs a considerable punch. "Just be a Man" bemoans the metrosexual male, and wishes for a stronger man. The version of Sonny Bono's "Beat Goes on" is fun and a fitting closer for this fine album. (stjarnell@yahoo.com)
