General comments:

Piano-based pop with vocals the shifts effortlessly between a gentle raspy croon and brassy strength. The songs (or at least the choruses) tend toward the anthemic. Meredith Blis has something to say, and uses her catchy pop music and her emotionally evocative voice as a vehicle for her messages. (sophiagurley@hotmail.com)

Comments:

This is a strong, highly emotive collection of songs with a pop energy. The songs are very nicely arranged, with of dynamic range. The lyrics are full of messages—there are many lines like "Too much fear, Not enough love"; most listeners will agree with her messages—it's hard not to—and many may find the album inspirational though some will be put off by its didactic focus. One track is a special track in support of R.A.I.N.N., and part of the album's proceeds go to support that organization. (sophiagurley@hotmail.com)
