18 years later, it's as fresh and charming as when it was first released. Most people are probably familiar with the single "What I Am," and if you like that song, you should check out the whole album. It's a gem. (JoAnn Whetsell)

Comments:

For a band that hasn't recorded an album in 16 years, Edie Brickell & New Bohemians sound amazingly well-connected. Stranger Things isn't really like Shooting Rubberbands at the Stars, but it seems a natural follow-up, far more so than Ghost of a Dog did. Maybe because this effort reflects the band being themselves. It's more adult, more varied in style, and in places still quite fun. I hope this is a new beginning for the band and not just a one-time reunion project. But even if it is, it's one to be thankful for. (JoAnn Whetsell)
