Comments:

The first Far Beyond Frail ep sees the duo making pleasant, vaguely ethereal pop with very nice vocals. Sharylynn Verner has a way with her singing that's airy and lovely. David J. Cecil's songs are here at least reminiscent of Sixpence none the Richer.
"Minnesota" is a standout with just a soft backing and Verner emoting nicely. The duo is still finding their voice here. (stjarnell@yahoo.com)

Comments:

The second Far Beyond Frail ep sees Verner having a share in the songwriting and the sound is more confident. The dreamy mood of the first ep is echoed but the songs are a little darker. "I think you know by now" sees Verner sing nicely to a sweet melody and a guitar wails a little. "Run away" is a little like Sarah McLachlan in her most intriguing phase. Verner sings like a siren and Cecil supports her well. "Screaming on the inside" closes the ep on a dark but compelling note. It's a great little ep. (stjarnell@yahoo.com)

Comments:

The new ep by Far Beyond Frail continues the band's evolution and has a bright, soft sound. "Portland" is an up-tempo gem. "Touch" is sensuous and has a melody that's fluid and sweet. Far Beyond Frail's songs are radio-friendly without sacrificing any integrity. "Indigo" is a ballad that's well handled. Another solid ep, in short. (stjarnell@yahoo.com)
