Comments:

Shauna Burns offers her own versions of seasonal songs with this ethereal and compelling record. She's got her own spirit and it clearly shows as she gathers Christmas songs and delivers her own take on them. It's a lovely and thoughtful alternative to more conventional offerings. Comments:

Shauna Burns' new album is a fine exercise in piano-led ectophile music. "Run away" is a beautiful song with lovely piano bits, and a superb lead vocal by Burns. "Catapult" is a dreamy, beautifully constructed song, with a positive feel to it. "Orchid" is slower and has a melancholy feel that she inhabits well. "Masilla" is a sweetly played song with a wonderfully harmonic lead vocal. Burns really surpassed herself with this record. It's great. (stjarnell@yahoo.com)
