Not That Kind of Girlas Susie Glaze & the Hilonesome BandRelease info:2015 Availability:See Susie Glaze's site Ecto priority:Recommended Group members:Susie Glaze—vocals, harmony vocals Guest artists:Herb Pedersen—harmony vocals (2, 10); 5-string banjo (6); acoustic guitar (8); lead guitar, resonator guitar (10) Produced by:Herb Pedersen Comments:A very likeable and sprightly folk/Americana record with some impressive singing. "Heartland" is a sad song that Glaze handles well, and her band is on point too. "That's how I learned to sing the blues" is heartfelt, and bassist Fred Sanders does a good job with the lead vocal. "Prisoner in disguise" is a ballad that Linda Ronstadt made famous, and this rendition is wonderfully poignant. It's a great album all told.
