Utah Phillips has a solo career as a very American folksinger in the tradition of Woody Guthrie, and Ani DiFranco has one as a highly individual punk/folk singer. They made this album together on Ani DiFranco's Righteous Babe label.

All I can say about the Ani/Utah Phillips CD is that I got rid of my copy quite soon after I purchased it. I know that I didn't give it enough time, but on first listen it seemed to be nearly all Utah's singing...maybe Ani's music, but definitely *not* enough Ani for me to keep it. (Riphug@aol.com)
