A Box of EverythingRelease info:2014—Red River—RRECD134 Availability:See The Slambovian Circus of Dreams's bandcamp page Ecto priority:Highly recommended Group members:Joziah Longo—vocals, acoustic guitars, harmonica, jawhapr, mandolin, banjo Guest artists:Seth Gallagher—uilleann pipe Produced by:Shakrey McEwen and The Circus Comments:A very intriguing collection summarizing the band's unique yet rootsy sound. Joziah Longo has a voice that occasionally recalls Tom Petty, but the sound is more psychedelic than that implies. "A Box of everything" (the song) is a nice, trippy song that has a sturdy melody that anchors it in reality. "The Trans Slambovian BiPolar Express" is a bluesy epic with some great harmonica parts. "Light a way" is a soft, pensive song that they handle well. Every song here is worth a listen, and it's a great introduction to a fine band.
